We met in Dallas in 2018 when Quenton responded to a shirtless, bearded lawyer on a dating app with a very romantic offer: “Meet me under the bridge at 5 a.m. before my group run.” Somehow, Ryan said yes—and not only did he show up, he outran everyone there.

Ryan came to three more of those early morning runs before Quenton agreed to a date. That first date? Domino’s pizza, a movie on the couch, and M&M’s we “borrowed” from the lobby of Ryan’s building. Seven years later, we still have that same date night almost every week. 

​

When we met, Quenton told Ryan he wasn’t looking to date—he was planning to move to Portland. As it turned out, Ryan had the same idea. What started as a half-hearted invite turned into a heart full of steady, meaningful, and lasting love. 

​

We’ve grown a beautiful life together, full of laughter, adventure, and an unreasonable amount of candy and pizza.
